Her transformative journey led her to the vibrant city of San Francisco for her collegiate endeavors, followed by a pivotal decision at the age of 22 to make a life-altering move to the rustic charm of Southern Humboldt in 2001.

Samantha's heart found solace in the tranquility of rural living as she nurtured her child and immersed herself in the captivating allure of Southern Humboldt's hamlets. Her transition from the bustling urban landscape to the idyllic tranquility of the region was a natural and wholeheartedly embraced metamorphosis for this country girl at heart.

Her profound affinity for the healing arts manifested in her journey through Reiki energy work, earning her the esteemed title of a certified Reiki Master in Oakland, California. Furthering her commitment to holistic well-being, Samantha pursued studies at the Acupressure Institute in Berkeley and the renowned Heartwood Institute for holistic massage therapy. Complementing her skills, she earned spa treatment certifications at the distinguished Arcata School of Massage.

Driven by a passion for the confluence of hospitality and healing, Samantha embarked on a fulfilling chapter as a massage therapist at the historic Benbow Inn outside Garberville. Over several enriching years, she not only practiced therapeutic massage but also contributed her expertise to concierge and guest services, notably during comprehensive renovations starting in 2016.

Samantha's magnetic attraction to captivating locales led her to the role of Assistant Estate Manager at Julia Morgan's Redwood Grove, an exquisite estate in the scenic landscapes of Southern Humboldt.

Building upon her extensive expertise, Samantha established My Humboldt Abode: Spa Retreat Lodging in the Ancient Redwoods.
